I’ve been MIA. I know. I’m so sorry to those of you who actually read my blog. But, I have a good excuse. I’ve been getting new cover art for Portrait of Seduction and finishing up edits AND writing a sequeal to Portrait of Seduction. It’s called Price of Seduction. No contract on that yet, but I will share some pictures that I’m using to inspire me.

This is taken in the Rose Garden of a Scottish Castle. Isn’t it beautiful. I can imagine myself on that bench with a good book.

There comes a point in every author’s life (okay, career) that they begin to question themselves. It’s a scary question really.

The question is… am I a one hit wonder?

And the answer is… no I’m not! Yay! I just made my second sale to Cobblestone Press and I’m thrilled. It will be an October release titled Portrait of Seduction.

I’m currently working on an “official blurb” for it but I’ll go ahead and tell you that it’s paranormal, takes place around Halloween in New York and the first big scene takes place at a glamorous Masquerade Ball. The heroine is incredible, you’re just going to love her. She’s not your typical heiress. And the hero is not your typical artist. And you’re definitely going to love him. Him and his bedroom eyes. And incredible abs. And… ok, I’ll stop teasing you. In fact, there’s nothing typical about this story and that’s what makes it so neat.

So, be sure to watch for it, watch this space for more information, check my website for official details and behind the scenes info, and be sure to watch for awesome contest prizes because I LOVE Halloween.

In other news I’ve added some goodies to my myspace contest. It ends on the 15^th, so hurry and enter! In addition to the flip flops I’ll send a tub of Flip Flop scented lotion, a nail file and a foot shaped foot scrubber.

So, I was bad and didn’t post my promised journal entry yesterday. But I had a very good reason. I was writing up a storm and my characters were talking up a storm.  Lots of stormy weather here in Georgia. Not.

So anyhow, this isn’t exactly writing related, or story related, but… as an author, I want to know.  I’ve been visiting all these wonderful sites around the web, dropping by blogs, hopping around myspace. And I keep clicking on images and such…

And then I go to this site called photobucket.  What in the world is that?  Someone help a girl out and explain.

You saw my awesome review for SLOW BURN right? From Ecataromance.com?  And you know that SLOW BURN is on sale now.  Yeah, I’m shameless, I know.  And you saw that my journal has a real name now (Madison’s Musings, in case you missed that post.)

So… what else is new? Well, for this last book I did a bit of research for Halloween.  And lots of looking up of quotes and words and definitions.  So I thought I’d share my favorites with you in the coming weeks.

First off, let me just give you all a cyber hug and a huge thank you for contributing names to my journal. That’s just so sweet of you and way more people dropped by than I’d expected. And that just made me feel all special.

Now… my journal has an offical name. I looked them all over and pondered a lot. Kitty cat gave her opinion as well and we felt like Madison’s Musings fit best. So thanks Donna for coming up with it. I’ll send you a tub of lotion.
